Midea Chillventa 2024

Chillventa in Nuremberg is the leading world trade fair for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps. Midea showed its new products there in 2024, and Felix Uhlig hosted on the stand stage: product presentations and live talks with the product managers behind them.

A stand stage is not an auditorium. The audience stays on its feet, people come and go, and the next stand is running right beside you. Anyone hosting here does not have a captive room; attention has to be won in the first few seconds and held for ten or fifteen minutes – several times a day, with changing guests and a changing audience.

The subject matter was systems, not slogans: indoor climate technology, energy efficiency solutions, portable split units. The product managers know their technology down to the last detail; the people listening from the aisle may not. At that point the host's job is to turn a technical answer into an answer to the question somebody actually has – without dropping what convinces the trade visitor.
