Book a gala host – for an evening that carries.

I guide your show programme and keep hold of the thread. Charming, professional and elegant, with one goal: to make your evening one that you and your guests still talk about afterwards.

Who is up there

A gala evening forgives no gap. That is exactly what I am there for.

I am Felix Uhlig, a host for over 16 years. Award ceremonies, anniversaries, charity evenings, craft guild celebrations: I have seen enough evenings to know that none of them goes to plan.

A gala evening is not a conference talk. It has a menu with a rhythm of its own. It has guests of honour who run over. It has a moment that has to go quiet, and one where laughter belongs. Anyone who cannot tell them apart loses the room.

My job is to let you enjoy the evening instead of guarding it.

3 clear promises

What you get from me. And why it matters on a gala evening.

  • The evening stays in rhythm.

The kitchen, the technicians, the programme and the guests of honour all run on different clocks. I hold them together without anyone in the room noticing – even when a speech runs ten minutes long.

  • The quiet moments too.

An award is not just another item on the running order. Someone called up for a lifetime achievement deserves a different tone from the drinks reception beforehand. I find both.

  • Calm when something goes wrong.

The award winner is stuck in traffic. A microphone fails. A speech is missing. None of that is unusual, and none of it has to reach the room.

Occasions

Whatever kind of evening it is.

The task changes with the occasion. An award ceremony needs structure, an anniversary needs warmth, a charity evening needs both. These are the formats I am at home in.

  • Award ceremony

  • Company anniversary

  • Charity & fundraising gala

  • Staff party & year-end celebration

  • Evening with a show programme

  • Tribute & farewell

Your occasion is not listed? No problem – write and tell me what you have in mind.

Seeing is believing

What clients say about me as a gala host

Your hosting was likeable and entertaining, and you didn't just keep the audience in a good mood – you had them completely wrapped around your finger. You made a decisive contribution to making our ceremony an unforgettable occasion, both for our newly qualified master craftspeople and for our guests. The collaboration beforehand, marked by professionalism and fun, gave us a genuinely secure feeling during the intensive preparation.

Hats off – you got the school teams, the company representatives and Professor Würth and his wife genuinely excited. Chapeau!

Working with Felix was simply brilliant. On stage he was outstanding, he fired people up and created a fantastic atmosphere. He really had the audience one hundred per cent in hand – quiet or loud, everyone went along with him.

Working together

How it works. Simple.

  1. Enquiry

Date, place, occasion and roughly how many guests – that is all I need to get started.

  2. Conversation

We go through the evening: who is being honoured, who speaks, when dinner is served. 20 to 30 minutes.

  3. Running order

I learn the names, the titles and the reasons behind them, and coordinate with the technicians and the kitchen. Mispronounced names are the most avoidable mistake of the evening.

  4. The evening

On time, prepared, in the right register. You get to sit in the room instead of standing backstage.

FAQ

  • It depends on length, location and how much preparation is involved. An evening with twenty awards and coordinated tributes is a different job from a welcome with programme announcements. Tell me what you have in mind and you get a concrete offer instead of a price list.

  • As early as you can. Gala evenings cluster in autumn and December, and some dates only come once. Short notice can work too – just ask instead of assuming it is too late.

  • Yes. You supply the running order, the names and the occasions; I write the introductions and transitions from that. If you already have a script, I will use it – but most evenings are better when the words come from the person saying them.

  • Yes, at native level. Mixed too, if some of your guests do not speak German: I switch between the two languages during the evening without saying everything twice.

  • It happens on almost every evening. A speech runs long, a guest is missing, the technology fails. I absorb it on stage and coordinate with the production team at the same time. To your guests it looks like the plan.

Two minutes and we'll both know

Your gala evening. With me!

A gala evening is the evening your company shows itself. Send me the date and the occasion – we can sort out the rest in a conversation.
