The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Rosental 7, 80331 Munich, Germany, part of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data. This comprises the address requested, the date and time, the volume of data transferred, the notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the operating system, the page visited previously and the IP address.

This data is required for the site to be delivered at all, and so that attacks can be detected and averted. It is not combined with other data sources and is not used to identify individual people.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless and secure operation of this website.

Cloudflare processes this data on my behalf. Transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; for this, Cloudflare relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

This website uses an encrypted connection (TLS) throughout. You can recognise it by the “https://” before the address and by the padlock symbol in your browser. Data you transmit via this website therefore cannot be read by third parties.

If you write to me using the form, by email, via WhatsApp or by phone, I process the details you provide in order to answer your enquiry. As a rule this comprises your name, your email address, possibly your phone number, and the content of your message.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Your details remain stored until you ask me to delete them or the purpose no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods, in particular under commercial and tax law, remain unaffected.

Enquiries sent through the form are also stored with Cloudflare in addition to being emailed. This serves reliability alone: an email can be lost to a spam filter or a technical fault, and an unanswered enquiry is the worst outcome for both sides. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in handling enquiries reliably. What is stated above under “Hosting” applies to Cloudflare here as well. Only the details from the form are stored, no IP address.

After sending, you automatically receive an email confirming that your enquiry has arrived and repeating your message. It contains no advertising.

Both emails are sent via Brevo. The provider is Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany, a subsidiary of Sendinblue SAS, 17 rue de Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France. Brevo receives the details you entered in the form and processes them exclusively on my behalf, on the basis of a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR which forms part of Brevo's terms of use.

No further disclosure to third parties takes place.

As long as you are only filling in the form, none of your entries leave your browser. They are transmitted only when you click “Send enquiry”.

The video at the top of the home page is stored on my own server. Playing it does not create any connection to third parties.

The showreel is hosted on YouTube. It is not loaded automatically: at first you only see a preview image, which also comes from my own server. The video is loaded, and a connection to YouTube established, only once you click on it. Your IP address is then transmitted to YouTube, and YouTube can record your usage behaviour; if you are signed in to Google, it can associate this with your account.

The address used is youtube-nocookie.com, which according to Google sets no cookies for personalisation as long as no video is played.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The legal basis for loading it after your click is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG (the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), which you give by clicking the preview image. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the processing. You also have the right to rectification, to restriction of processing and to erasure.

You have the right to receive data that I process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract in a machine-readable format, or to have it transmitted to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible.

You may withdraw consent you have given at any time. An informal message by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until withdrawal remains unaffected.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is that of the German federal state in which the controller is established.

For all of these matters, an email to info@felixuhlig.de is sufficient.

Where data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to that processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. The applicable legal basis is stated in the sections above.
